Bernard Atkins and his wife Ellie are no strangers to the livestock industry. They've involved themselves in various aspects of this thriving industry for over 39 years. This involvement has allowed them to gain invaluable experience that translates over to their current day livestock operation, Atkins Livestock Services. It has also allowed Bernard to become a go-to stock and station agent. 

It all started in 1980 when Bernard and his wife purchased and began breeding Murray Greys. This stock has exceptional bloodlines that came from Robgranthony Stud of Archie and Beryl Priestly, in Bullsbrook, WA. They later expanded their bloodline to include Orcadia Park Stud from Flinders, Vic. They also had a small Angus herd with premium Richmond Hill bloodlines. 

After years of hands-on work, Bernard transitioned to a more advisory role. This led to him to becoming involved in the stock agency business. His previous experience working for Landmark, PGG Wrightsons, and Vicstock as their Tasmanian Manager, left Bernard well equipped for this role. 

In June 2016, Bernard branched out again to a livestock agent role. He is now the proud owner and operator of Atkins Livestock Service. This high-quality livestock service specialises in buying and selling beef and dairy cattle, export and semen sales, Helmsman sales, and herd appraisals.
